For antique pianos Shackleford Pianos Cheshire are proud to offer a unique French polishing service that greatly enhances the appearance of a piano and adds antique value. In fact, french polish is the only finish that adds value to an instrument, which is why we only offer this type of polish as part of our restoration service. All work is done by hand in our Macclesfield workshop using traditional French polishing methods which emphasise and protect the natural beauty and lustre inherent in all high quality antique wooden furniture.
Both of our french polishers are highly trained, coming from a family that has been involved in piano and organ building for over 5 generations. We feel very honored to have them as part of our business, and are thrilled to offer you this rare craft to help increase the value of your cherished items.
All restoration work is fully undertaken and completed at our Macclesfield, Cheshire workshop. We are happy for anyone to visit at anytime to watch us perform our craft. Drop in for a cup of tea, a chat and to look at the beautiful work we do on beautiful pianos.
